Personal Insolvencies Continue to Rise
19 November 2008
Personal insolvencies continue to rise
Personal insolvencies continue to rise according to new statistics released by the UK Insolvency Service. The stats are extremely interesting, showing that almost 300 people a day were being declared insolvent in the three months to September 2008 . . . Whilst the stats don’t really come as much of a surprise, they are certainly a wake up call as to how many
The stats also showed that just over 27000 people were declared insolvent in during the period representing a significant rise of 8.8% on the previous three months. Bankruptcies & IVAs continued to rise at 12.1% and 3.3% respectively.
Gregory Pennington was one of the first to comment on the stats stating that:
“The news is further confirmation of the financial difficulties many British citizens currently face due to rising costs of living,”
“Since the effects of an economic downturn tend to filter through gradually, it’s very possible that we will see increasing numbers of people falling into debt over the next few months.
They also issued advice to consumers to ensure they seek debt help and advice early, rather than letting it get out of control.
“For that reason, we urge all consumers to take care of their finances, and anyone who finds themselves struggling with debt should seek expert debt advice as soon as possible.”

The Style Significance of Sandals
19 November 2008
We have seen many civilizations throughout history including the Greeks and Romans and down through the centuries to today throughout the more temperate climates. The first sandals appeared as far back as the Ice Age. Stone age man seeking to protect his feet with the hides of animals in the form of basic leather sandals. These were very simple in design and were made of the same type of hide that these ancient men made their clothes out of. This style of rough animal hide covering continued until about 10,000 years ago when examples of straps or thongs started to emerge. The straps or thongs would be attached to a heavy study sole that was meant to protect the bottom of the foot.
As civilizations started to emerge the adapted that plant and animal life they had access to create new styles of sandals. Ancient Egyptians used papyrus and palm leaves to create their version of this ancient footwear. The Greeks and Romans used sandals in their everyday clothing as well as a part of their military uniforms. In India where the cow is held to be a sacred animal sandals are made of materials such as wood, ivory and metal.
Throughout the ages sandals have been a major feature in footwear but not until the 20th century did they become a fashion statement. Most major designers since the 1920s have turned out some new variety on the sandal theme. Sandals for men have remained fashionable since ancient times right down to today’s average beach bum. Active and hiking sandals have been introduced over the last 20 years. Women’s sandals come in every shape and size imaginable including high heeled sandals and wedges. Though they have changed very little in design since they were first made, sandals continue to be an important part of footwear today and don’t seem to be going out of style anytime soon.

Pointed Toe Fur Boots — A Fashion Must
17 November 2008
No doubt you have wanted a pair of fur boots for a long time. How could you not want something as elegant or whimsical as a fur boot can be? Fur boots have gone in and out of style for years, but they are definitely in style now; and they will definitely stay in style for many years to come.
So, why have not you bought a pair of fur boots in the past? Have they been too expensive? Are you afraid that they will go out of style before you feel they have walked their worth? Do you fear that you do not have anything that will go with your fur boots? Whatever your reasons for not buying fur boots in the past, those reasons most definitely will not hold up any longer.
Although there are still some expensive fur boots out there, there are also some at very reasonable prices. Along with the popularity of fur boots comes the ease in finding a pair that suits your budget.
You certainly no longer need to fear that fur boots will go out of style anytime soon. People are loving their fur boots, and it is hard to give up on something that you love. Do you think that jeans will be going out of style any time soon? No, most definitely not. That’s because people love them. Jeans are now a staple of everyone’s wardrobe, and there is no reason that fur boots won’t also be. Fur boots come in so many different styles that there is sure to be at least one style that everyone will love. Take, for instance pointed toe fur boots.
Pointed toe shoes have been in style for a long while now, so it is no wonder that pointed toe fur boots are also in style. Pointed toe fur boots have the same sleek style of other pointed toe shoes, but they have that added warmth and extra fashion sense.
Do you fear that you won’t have anything to wear with your pointed toe fur boots? Do not worry about that. They go excellently over tight, tapered jeans or under bootcut jeans. They look great with short pants, as well. And pointed toe fur boots most definitely look beautiful with A-line skirts that hit anywhere from mid-shin to mid-thigh.
The beauty of these boots is that you can still wear skirts and dresses in winter… and stay warm. They are most definitely going to keep your legs warmer - not just your feet - than other pointed toe shoes or boots would.
Boots are both beautifully stylish and also warm. Pointed toe fur boots are a fashion must for any fall or winter wardrobe (unless, perhaps, you are living in Hawaii…).

Men’s Swimsuits
14 November 2008
It is a common misconception that there is hardly any variety in men’s swimwear. Men’s swimwear styles run the gamut from trunks, board shorts and jammers (providing coverage from mid-waist to above the knee) to the classic Speedo-style (i.e., miniscule) form-fitting briefs. The more daring guys can opt for the Brazilian sunga, which is popularly referred to as the men’s version of a bikini; the shape of the sunga is similar to the bikini but the side is about an inch thicker.
The most popular trend last summer was the surfer-style board shorts, which flatter almost any type of figure, be it bulky or lean. Board shorts are normally longer than the basic trunks or Speedo styles and sometimes give a loose, baggy effect. Those who prefer to lounge by the poolside can ideally opt for a pair of board shorts that come with cargo pockets so that they have access to their keys, wallet and mobile phone, even by the pool.
Of course, the Speedo swimsuit remains a classic. Young men, who swear that wearing one of these skimpy little bathing suits gets them undivided female attention, prefer Speedo styles. For those men who are not quite ready for the bare-all Speedo style and yet do not like the bulkiness of the board short or jammers, there is always the basic pair of short swimming trunks, which are not quite as revealing as Speedo but have a similar support system. Boxer swimming trunks are quite popular with the older or conservative set.
Judging by the diversity of prints available in swimwear, designers predict that it is going to be a ‘print year’ again next season. There is no particular print that is in vogue, though, as patterns are ranging from the Brazilian and Polynesian to the Retro, Floral and Pop Art look.

Halters are back in girls. Do not feel shy to expose those shoulders! Just make sure you are protected with a good sun-protection lotion, this is very important ladies. Spin around in trendy summer styles by mixing and matching up different items with halter-neck tops. You can see a good example of a perfect colored halter top at Torrid.com: in stock at the moment they have a brown halter-neck, which can be easily matched up with a pair of jeans, trousers, skirt or capris pants!
Green is a particularly popular colour this season, so go for chocolate, gold and forestry colors which can easily be matched with green.

7 Spring Fashion Tips
10 November 2008
Well you definitely need a compass for this year’s Spring and Summer fashions. While flirty and fun is “in,” don’t forget tailored and chic. In fact, it is ok to mix the two. Here are the Spring’s fashion trends:
- Spring dresses are definitely the item to have this season. Very much inspired by the 50’s and early 60’s, you can find vintage or new fashions right on the rack in every major clothing store. Look for little ruffles, flowing fabrics, big buttons and belts.
- White is everywhere. Be careful with this one as some complexions are not cut out for stark white. If you are nearing middle age, try using white in your accessories instead of brilliant white jackets or skirts. Everyone should be cautious about what we call Minnie Mouse shoes and please don’t break out the white pants, skirts and shoes until after Memorial Day. I don’t care what anyone says. Some rules are not meant to be broken.
- Chunky shoes and platform sandals are still the rage this season. Be careful when pairing with your 50’s inspired dress or you will look like you came straight from a rummage sale and not the fashionable trendy shops. Of course some might say that is the trend too.
- Chunky necklaces are still in this season as well. Natural woods and brighter colors play a part in the spring continuation of this fall trend.
- A line and tulip skirts are all over the spring fashion scene. Watch the length and the belting. A line skirts are great camouflage for larger hips.
- Tops are flirty with ruffles, cinching under the bust, and belting or gathers at the waist. These looks are great with jeans, loose fitting trouser style pants, and skirts but can also be paired with a tailored jacket and skirt or pants for work to add a little femininity to your tailored work attire.
- Although many chiropractors and doctors may protest, the handbags are available in big and bigger. As always though there has to be balance between what you are wearing and the size and style of bag you are carrying.
Remember no matter what styles you choose, you should always make sure you have other pieces (we recommend three) already in your wardrobe with which to coordinate. Also, be cognizant of the styles and how they look on someone of your age. You can make yourself look like mutton dressed as lamb if you try to be too trendy or too flirty with your styles. Always be aware of shape and color and how it relates to your body. We will say it just this once in this article. Just because they make it in your size does not mean you should wear it. Now enjoy the spring weather and flowers and have fun accessorizing your wardrobe.

Get a new house with bkr loans, 454756 euro is not an issue

So how do you find a lender or broker you can trust’ Some will quote you precise, competitive rates 6 percent. Start with credibility. It’s not easy to know if the prices quoted by lenders are reliable. See which lenders are charging fees 7 percent and for how much. Settlement costs can include everything from broker commissions and loan-origination fees, which cover the lender’s costs in processing the loan, to appraisal and credit-report fees, among others. Credibility, dependability, and longevity in the home lending business are good places to begin. See mortgage loan for residential mortgage lending, and commercial mortgage for lending against commercial property. While a mortgage in itself is not a debt, it is evidence of a debt of 6 percent. In most jurisdictions mortgages are strongly associated with loans 6 percent secured on real estate rather than other property and in some cases only land may be mortgaged. And of course, each loan and each borrower are different. It is a transfer of an interest in land, from the owner to the mortgage lender, on the condition that this interest will be returned to the owner of the real estate when the terms of the mortgage have been satisfied or performed.
Different lenders charge different fees. In other words, the mortgage is a security for the loan that the lender makes to the borrower. Although most mortgage experts say that rates 5 percent are pretty much the same wherever you go, give or take this tiny 3 percentage. Brokers work with many mortgage bankers and, as a result, can sometimes find slightly more competitive rates 7 percent perhaps lower but dealing directly with a mortgage banker can move a loan along more quickly.
Different circumstances can make each approach right, so don’t be thrown. Both banks and brokers have their strengths and weaknesses. A mortgage is the pledging of a property to a lender as a security for a mortgage loan for 7 percent. Arranging a mortgage is seen as the standard method by which individuals and businesses can purchase residential and commercial real estate without the need to pay the full value immediately. Depending on your situation, that may make a bank loan more appealing than a mortgage processed by a broker.
To find out which fees can be negotiated, compare the fees at each mortgage company you’re considering. Many of these fees are fixed but some can be negotiated.
But others will claim low rates to bring in customers or tell you that the rates 4 percent offered by competitors will change.
Plus Size Apparel Shopping Tips
8 November 2008
Shopping online can be like hitting the jackpot if you are looking for locally hard to find items. Depending on where you live, plus size clothing and apparel can be a tricky item to buy locally, especially if you live in smaller towns and cities.
Many local department stores do carry plus size and full figured items, but the clothing is usually not very flattering, of good quality or the style is out of date. Where to find quality plus size fashions online?
By using a search engine, you can do a search online for plus size clothing or plus size apparel. That’s where the headache starts. You will find thousands and thousands of search results to wade through that may or may not be what you are looking for. This can be a frustrating and time wasting experience when all you want is to find that perfect black dress to buy.
A few tips for searching online:
Try to be as specific as you can when doing your searches. Search for terms like black dress plus size or plus size swimsuits.
You can also try an advanced search by placing your search term in quotes like this: “plus size pantsuit”. By using quotes with your search terms, the search engine will show you results that have that exact term in their description rather than the words spread out all over the page. That can usually guarantee you’ll find a website offering plus size pantsuits.
If you’re looking for a specific color, see what happens if you include that in your search term. The term “Navy plus size swimsuit” in quotes can really narrow down the amount of search results you would have to pick through if you just used plus size swimsuit.

Eyeshadow Essentials to Make Your Eyes Stand Out
7 November 2008
When it comes to makeup, eyeshadow is perhaps the trickiest product to apply. This is because the eyes have no real limitations. According to the makeup experts, each shape you create using eyeshadows can take you to different realms. Indeed, it was black kohl that transformed Elizabeth Taylor into Cleopatra and Audrey Hepburn into Holly Golightly. Eyeshadows do not only make your eyes look bigger, they can also add drama and draw attention to your eyes. However, it is one of the trickiest makeup products to apply, which explains why women do not wear it as often as lipstick. Drawing a perfect shade may often take some practice, but with a few expert tips and techniques, you can do it in no time.
1. Select the correct eyeshadow form
Eyeshadow comes in several formulations, each with a unique finish and level of difficulty. Matte eyeshadows blend easily and are perfect for beginners, as they can be both used for creating a soft daytime look or a heavy smoky eye. If you are not so much into eyeliners, you can opt for powder eyeshadows that can also be used as eyeliner, as long as the color is densely pigmented. Used in tandem with a fine-tipped brush, powder eyeshadow gives the softest, most natural look.
2. Getting the natural look
For soft definition, choose a powder matte eyeshadow. Choose those that are neutral in colors because these are the finest for all eye colors. The best neutral colors to choose are taupe, beige, muted wines, ivory, charcoal, browns, and grays. It is best to choose a medium eyeshadow. These types of eyeshadows are light enough, hence they do not need massive blending. For those who have dark eye colors, browns are the best shades to use in order to bring out the eye color, making it more intensified and defined.
3. Consider your color options
The safest way to go is with brown or black, but new options include other colors such as gray, charcoal, metallics, or even bright dashes of color like green, blue, or turquoise, as seen on the usual summer collections. Smoke or charcoal gives a softer look than black does. Dark green shades goes well with almost all complexions. For those who have complexions with narrower eyes, metallic shades are the best. When applied on the eyes, a metallic shade like silver or gold can make the eyes look bigger and more wide-awake. You can contrast this with a different shade of eyeshadow like green with bronze, silver with white, or go monochromatic by using lighter tones of the same color family as your eyeliner.
4. The skin tone test
When choosing the best eyeshadow, it is best if you consider your skin tone first. Usually, there are eyeshadows that do not blend well with one’s skin complexion. Hence, it is important to consider them when choosing eyeshadows.
For example, women who have dark skin complexions, it would be better if you choose darker shades of eye shadows. Choosing lighter shades like pebbles would only make your eyes look dusty.
5. The rule of thumb
Before you buy your eyeshadows, it is best to remember that dark colors tend to make the eyes appear to diminish in size. On the other hand, light colors bring your eyes out into the open. The rule of thumb when choosing the best shades of eyeshadow is to select those that will bring definition into your eyes. In reality, eyeshadows are made to re-shape the eyes or any part that surrounds it like the browbone section and the eyelids.
6. High definition
It is best to smudge a soft brown eyeshadow on the lid for a wide-eyed look. If you want more intensity, smudge the eyes with darker shades starting from the center of the lid then outwards to make eyes look bigger.
7. Limit the colors
When choosing eyeshadows, it is best not buy too many shades, even if they are just neutral colors. Using them all together will be very distracting. Best of all, do not buy eyeshadows that will draw too much attention to your makeup as well as your lids. In the end, your eyes will be taken for granted. Therefore, it is better to not choose shades of pastel colors and those that are frosted. Indeed, choosing the best shades for your eyes can be very tedious and needs more practice but in time, you will soon be expert on it. In the end, projection high-definition eyes will be a breeze.
